STEP-BY-STEP LED ASSEMBLY GUIDE
Follow 10 clear steps to assemble the wooden map, install the LED lighting and mount the finished 3D panel securely on the wall.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
First, check that all map sections, LED components and mounting hardware shown in the image are included in your set.
Choose a clean, flat and firm workspace. Place a soft protective layer under the engraved side of the map to prevent scratches.
TOOLS & COMPONENTS
Included in the set: the 3D base, LED strips, battery holders, double-sided adhesive strips, standoff mounts, wall plugs, screws and metal bolts.
Before starting, prepare a pencil, spirit level, drill with a suitable drill bit and a screwdriver.
Steps 1–2 — Assemble the Map on the 3D Base
Put the parts together according to the supplied scheme. Assemble the wooden map and carefully glue it onto the 3D base, making sure that all sections are correctly aligned.
Steps 3–4 — Prepare the Map for Lighting
Carefully turn the assembled map face down and place it on a flat, firm surface. Place something soft underneath to protect the engraved front of the map.
Use the double-sided adhesive strips to attach the battery holders to sections A and B.
Steps 5–6 — Plan and Position the LED Strips
Gently unroll one LED strip. Before attaching it, plan its position so that it covers the entire section without leaving any unnecessary excess length.
Once the layout is planned, begin carefully attaching the LEDs to the wooden base.
Step 7 — Secure the LEDs and Wires
Attach the LED elements to the adhesive strips. Route the wire along the wooden base, keeping it within the edges so that it does not extend beyond the map.
If necessary, tuck any excess wire towards the centre of the map. Keep the engraved front of the map on a soft surface throughout this step to prevent scratches.
Steps 8–9 — Mark and Install the Standoff Mounts
Position the 3D base with the attached map against the wall and mark the mounting points for the supplied standoff mounts.
Drill holes at the marked points, insert the plastic wall plugs and secure the standoff mounts to the wall using the screws.
Step 10 — Hang and Secure the Map
Carefully hang the map on the installed standoff mounts and secure it in place using the supplied metal bolts.
Check that the panel is level, stable and firmly attached to the wall before switching on the LED lighting.
